Rubber & Tyre Manufacturing
Zinc Oxide is the premier inorganic activator for sulfur vulcanization across natural rubber (NR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), and polybutadiene (BR). Reacting with stearic acid in the Banbury mixer to form soluble zinc stearate, it activates sulfenamide accelerators, accelerates cross-link maturation into stable mono- and di-sulfidic bridges, dissipates heat during high-speed rolling, and maximizes radial tyre tread life while preventing premature blowouts.
